On The Love Of Tres Leches

During the Buffer 2026 retreat in Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸 (more on that later); I confessed something to a lot of Bufferoos: I'm on a quest to find the best Tres Leches cake in the world.

It's a tough mission, but someone has to answer the hard questions 🤷.

Tres -what- Cake Now?

If you're not familiar with the greatest cake humanity has ever created, let me introduce you to Tres Leches cake (Or three milk cake).

Tres Leches is a Latin-American dessert consisting of a light, airy sponge cake soaked in a sweet, creamy mixture of three different milks; evaporated milk, condensed milk, and whole milk 🤤 That's the whole magic.

The Side Quest

One of my current side quests in life as a nomadic traveller, right after having fun, is to find the best Tres Leches cake wherever it may be.

When I shared this in Barcelona, several Bufferoos suggested I should turn this quest into an Instagram account.

So ....

and it already has its first review 🥳 The Baileys Tres Leches Cake at Bendito Pecado tried in May 2026 at Barcelona, Spain scored a solid 9/10. ABSOLUTE ART 🤩!!

The Rules of Engagement 🍰🍴

I'll aim to post images of Tres Leches cake that I tried or even some other non-tres-leches cake that deserve to be mentioned regularly until I run out of images in my backlog; then I'll post new discoveries as I make them.

If the same place has multiple Tres Leches offerings, I'll post each separately, potentially on different days.
