Hello World!!

Hi, I'm Peter 👋

I'm originally from Cairo, Egypt (yes, the one with the Pyramids) and am a Senior SRE II at Buffer. When I'm not optimizing CI/CD performance, improving our DevXP locally and remotely, monitoring or optimizing our production performance, I allow myself to indulge in memes, lots of memes!!

I joined Buffer in June 2021 as an Engineer III. I walked into Slack and discovered we had a meme channel and my eyeballs instantly morphed into a pair of stars, one on each side 🤩

Next to memes, I also enjoy travel! While many people focus on the number of countries visited, I care more about truly exploring each place—its food, culture, roads, countryside, and what two average joes casually talk about.

As of June 2025, I've thoroughly visited 21 countries 🥳🎉!!
